Glued on the handle pieces and mostly balanced each side today. Not too much progress but after I round the handle and finish detailing I can start finishing :D!
A day or two at most hopefully~

I have a question! What type of wood did you use for this project? I am going to guess Pine or Oak?

Actually poplar, it's a bit harder than either of those and takes paint better.

Ah. Thanks. I'm working on this EXACT same project amusingly enough. I'll have to put up some photos. Did you have to go to a specialty wood store or is that common enough to find easily?

It's pretty common. It's often used for cabinets and stuff that need to be a bit sturdier than your standard pine, so I get mine at my Home Depot. Really any home improvement store should have it, or any place that carries lumber.
