With this the main shaping is almost all done and the smoothing is mostly done. Just a bit more work and it will be ready for paint :D.
I was a bit conflicted on the pommel, as the two I've seen made seem to have a different styled pommel than the one from my reference pictures, so I decided to go with the one from my pics. I'm glad I did as well, I think it looks much better than the other one.

I plan on making this in a few days. I have 2 small questions -

1 - What did you do to make the handle so cylindrical?
2 - For the sharp, clean edges around the blade, what was the process for making those? I was debating using a router, but that has led to mixed results on blade sharpness in the past, chipping included :\

I I beveled the edges into an octagon and then rounded it.
and power tools on something that refined is usually a bad idea, I did it all by hand with an 8 inch rasp/file. I'm using a dremel on my dark repulsor only because its a much harder material, the plastic, but I still have to come back and clean it up with the rasp.

Welp, managed to finish up mine today. I actually ended up using a router for the edges on the blade and the handle, then rasped down the rest of the middle and such. Turned out rather nicely. Thanks for all these pictures, they were a tutorial in themselves

Awesome, I'm glad you could decipher some stuff from it.

How did you make the top part of the handle Round?

And is the Handle and the pommel separated from the Blade?

The handle is solid with the blade, but the pommel is separate. And the round part of the top of the handle is a separate piece.

Just wondering, is the pommel one piece? In your initial picture, it's 3 pieces sandwiched. Here it looks so clean, as if it was added on later xD

yeah, piece at the hilt and the pommel are all separate pieces, I just fit them tightly.

so you ended up just making the handle into a round piece, and then making 2 seperate pieces for the pommel and the top hilt piece?

Yes, drilled the hole to fit around the rounded handle then shaped each piece.
