Most of the work today on the handle pieces. Still a couple areas I need to shape some more, but they're about complete.
I also refined and cleaned up the blade a bit, but no real visible progress. I also cut off and re-made/attached the side horn because the one on there wasn't long enough for how I wanted it.

I measured in the distance I wanted on top based on looks then drew a line along the side halfway then filed down between the two. No specific angle.

A variety of files, I picked up a 17 piece file set and its been great, that and some 200-400 grit sandpapers for smoothing.
