The DMR I made a few years back when I was active on the 405th. Was a lot of fun, but it still needs a decent paint job.

Very nice. A lot of detail on that beast.

Thanks, took awhile to work out, I just wish it came out a bit more mirrored.

Can I ask what you used to make your cuts? Was it a jigsaw or did you have access to a scrollsaw or bandsaw?

I've made a few wooden scale mock-ups but never achieved that level of detail. I think I still have several around - a huge full scale Barret 50 cal and M4-SOPMOD. Those details really make the piece - even without the paint.

Thanks! And yeah, I used a scroll saw to cut out most of it, although there's a solid piece one inch thick forming the profile that all the other pieces are attached to that was cut out on a large bandsaw. There was also some liberal use of a belt sander.

Thanks! and no, its made of wood, mostly poplar, some PVC piping, and the rail is an aluminum one I bought so it would be usable.
